Graduate student research paper, re the mission, curriculum, and other issues related to Spartanburg Methodist College; the author based her findings on individual and group meetings with administrators, faculty advisers, members of the Academic Affairs and Curriculum Committees, and with students. Founded in 1911 as the Textile Industrial Institute, this institution began instruction at the junior college level in 1927, although it continued to offer high school classes until the 1940s; the school adopted its present name in 1974.
